Selena: The Series
Selena Quintanilla. The show goes more into depth about the late Tejano singer’s life and the people around her. Selena: The Series is a show thus not everything you see is a fact. However we do get to enjoy the love affair that we were all rooting for: Chris and Selena. Seeing the writing, frustration and pressure to come up with hit songs was a great insight. They showed us some of the classics like Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, Como la Flor, Baila Esta Cumbia and so many more. I loved that more people are being exposed to Selena and what she really meant to the Latinx community. She represented us.
P.S. All the portrayals are never going to give us the real Selena so just enjoy the show and do not think too much about it.
